Wiggins Big Deal in Lake County: Hits for Cycle Friday, September 5th , 2031 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Classic Park. Andrew Wiggins of the Lake County Captains accomplished the feat against Great Lakes Loons. Wiggins went 4-for-5 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 11-0 Lake County victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Wiggins said after the game. Wiggins also scored 2 runs and had 2 RBI in a day to remember for both Wiggins and the crowd at Classic Park. Andrew Wiggins flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eddie Mueller in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Wiggins is hitting .265 this season with 12 home runs, 37 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 54 hits in 204 at-bats. View Boxscore |
