Holland Twirls No-Hitter Against South Bend Monday, August 25th , 2031 In a brilliant performance at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium, Peoria pitcher Yoskar Holland entered an elite group by tossing a no-hitter against the South Bend Cubs. In the effort, he fanned 12 and walked 5, leading the Chiefs to victory, 1-0. "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball," Holland said in the clubhouse after the game. "My guys made some nice plays behind me and cut off several hits, too." Up to now Holland has recorded a record of 10-2. In 18 starts he has fanned 130 batters in 115.1 innings with a 1.25 ERA. View Boxscore |
