Gray at His Best, Whips Cubs Friday, August 22nd , 2031 The Peoria Chiefs did little to support starter Josh Gray against the South Bend Cubs, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Cubs, striking out 8 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Gray allowed Peoria to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said, 'Josh, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Gray told BNN reporters following the win.
