RoughRiders Move on to Round 2 Tuesday, September 30th , 2031 The excitement in Frisco is palpable as the local club has advanced through the Round 1. The Frisco RoughRiders downed the Corpus Christi Hooks 8-5 tonight at Whataburger Field, to take the series 3-1. "Things are going to get crazy in Frisco for the Round 2. The fans are going to be behind us 100 percent, we know that," said Danny Piunno, who earned MVP honors. "There's a lot of motivation in our clubhouse right now to make sure we give them something to cheer about." For the series, Piunno hit .462 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 6 hits, 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Frisco RoughRiders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals - Springfield Cardinals series. Springfield leads the series 2 games to 1.
