Hitting Streak Still Alive for Turley

Amarillo lost to the Arkansas Travelers, 3-1, at Hodgetown, but Gavin Turley kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 3 hits. The Sod Poodles center fielder has now delivered hits in 25 straight games.
"Gavin has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Amarillo manager Darwin Barney told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Gavin Turley grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Evan Dobias in the 8th.
At present, Turley is batting .339 and has collected 9 home runs, 46 RBIs, .388 OBP and scored 39 runs.
