Season Possibly Over for Nate Sypherd Friday, June 11th , 2032 The season is apparently over for Nate Sypherd. The Worcester Red Sox medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 11 months with a stretched elbow ligament. Sypherd was hurt in the game against Omaha while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This year, Sypherd has a 4-4 mark in 13 starts with a 3.00 ERA. He has given up 73 hits in 93 innings, struck out 58 and issued 20 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .214 batting average against him. |
