Gelof Connects for 3 Homers for Mets

Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Mets-IronPigs game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Syracuse second baseman Jake Gelof thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Syracuse to a 12-1 win over Lehigh Valley.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Gelof said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Gelof was 3-for-4 on the day with 7 RBI.
Jake Gelof hit a three-run home run off Jacob Nix in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jacob Nix in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Eduar Segovia in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Currently Gelof is batting .163 with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.
