Bats Pitching Ravaged by Murphy
Thursday, July 29th , 2032
It was a sensational day at the plate for St. Paul Saints second baseman Chris Murphy, but a tough one for the team, as the Saints dropped the contest, 13-10, to the Louisville Bats.
Even with the loss, Murphy was pure misery for the Louisville pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-8 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Murphy, who is the 27-year old second baseman .
"Murphy really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Bats manager Ehire Adrianza told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Chris Murphy grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th, singled in the 11th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
On the season, Murphy is batting .311 with 1 home run and 30 RBIs. He has played in 65 games.
