Miami's Chisholm Jr. Suspended 2 Games Saturday, May 12th , 2029 Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Miami Marlins has been reprimanded and given a 2-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at loanDepot Park with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Marlins left fielder said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did. "I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Chisholm Jr. said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal." Thus far this year, Chisholm Jr. has hit .173 with 4 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
