New York, Oakland Agree to Swap

The Mets and Athletics announced a deal that was completed today. New York sent 22-year old minor league 1B Pete Qualls to Oakland for 28-year old SS Trey Snyder. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved.
In 533 career games Snyder has hit .243 with 455 hits, 49 home runs, 195 RBIs and scored 234 runs.
