Seattle, Washington Swap Players Friday, July 30th , 2032 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Mariners announced today the acquisition of 20-year old minor league 2B Eric Burrell from the Washington Nationals in exchange for 35-year old RHP Nick Mears. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Mariners, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This year, his season stats show Mears has no saves in 18 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 3.15 ERA. |
