Texas Deals Curl to Toronto for Shaw Thursday, July 15th , 2032 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Rangers announced today the acquisition of 27-year old RHP Chris Shaw, 26-year old LHP Jake Marshall, and 34-year old RHP Mason Thompson from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for 19-year old minor league RHP Ben Leandre and 23-year old minor league LHP Ben Curl. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Rangers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Shaw has posted a 3-4 record for the year with a 3.42 ERA. Teams are hitting .207 against him and he has rung up 62 strikeouts in 73.2 innings. |
