Tigers Swap Snyder to Rays for Holmberg Friday, July 29th , 2033 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Tigers announced today the acquisition of 24-year old CF Jeremy Holmberg, 24-year old minor league CF Juan Barcenas, and 19-year old minor league RHP Deshawn McConico from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for 21-year old minor league 2B Nate Snyder. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Tigers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This year, Holmberg is hitting .222 with 7 home runs. |
