Mike Ralyea Named CAL's Best Player Tuesday, October 10th , 2028
The manager of the Visalia Rawhide said he thinks Mike Ralyea is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 26, but it will be hard to top the center fielder's 2028 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the California League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .394 batting average and a .458 on-base percentage this year. In 122 games he piled up 200 hits, 28 doubles, 17 triples, 14 home runs, 86 RBIs and 111 runs scored.
He ended up tied with Paul Sellick with 92 total votes and 92 first place votes.
Outstanding Pitcher Award Goes to Reavis Monday, October 9th , 2028 Nate Reavis is the latest California League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. The San Jose starter really shone on the hill time and again and finished 2028 with a sparkling 18-3 record.
In 25 starts, he fanned 154, walked 28 in 166.1 innings and posted a 2.60 ERA. Reavis held opposing hitters to a .225 batting average.
