Brad Liggio Named Premier SL Player
Tuesday, October 3rd , 2028
The manager of the Tennessee Smokies said he thinks Brad Liggio is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the third baseman's 2028 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Southern League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .330 batting average and a .384 on-base percentage this year. In 111 games he piled up 137 hits, 31 doubles, 2 triples, 20 home runs, 76 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tre Morgan of the Biloxi Shuckers finished second in voting, while Ethan Karr of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp finished third.
