Conditions were not ideal but Toronto and Cleveland were able to put their game in the books.

The Toronto Blue Jays downed the Cleveland Guardians, 14-7. The hitting star was center fielder Lazaro Salinas. Salinas went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Blue Jays. Sean Hjelle came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1.

With Toronto leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Salinas hit a sinker from Tim Berman for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Salinas.

The win puts Toronto at 15-9.
