Brewers Defeat Reds, 6-5
|
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 6-5, in 12 innings. Doing his part was second baseman Roman Martin, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Despite the defeat, Cincinnati still has a fine 14-7 record.
The decisive blow was delivered by Elbert Craig in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a 2-run double off 36-year old left-handed pitcher Jovani Moran to win the game for Milwaukee. The home crowd went nuts.
Craig told a Milwaukee Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
