New York Tumbles Again, Falls, 8-4, to Texas
|
Rangers third baseman Andres Serrano left his mark on his team's 8-4 win over the New York Mets. Serrano, who signed a 2-year contract worth $50,000,000 on 01/12/2031, went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Texas in the contest. The win belonged to Christian Little in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Clayton Beeter took the loss for New York. Picking up the save was Jesus Estrada, his 1st.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Rangers grabbed the lead when Serrano hit his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Clayton Beeter made it 6-3, Texas.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said New York manager Charles Gerardi.
The loss drops the Mets to 5-11.
