It wasn't easy but the San Antonio Missions made it look that way.

Starter David Sauceda shut out the Corpus Christi Hooks despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the San Antonio Missions cruised to victory, 11-0. Sauceda allowed only 2 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

On his stats sheet this season, Sauceda shows a 6-5 record, 13 starts, 90 innings, 47 strikeouts and a 3.10 ERA.
