Astros designated hitter Omari Meggett left his imprint on his team's 13-1 win over the Texas Rangers. Meggett was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for Houston in the contest. The second-place Astros lifted their record to 84-72.

With Houston leading 7-0 in the top of the fourth, Meggett came up to bat against Texas pitcher Lucas Sims. Meggett hit a fastball to right-center for a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season put the Astros on top, 10-0.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Meggett.
