Oakland Gets 5-4 Road Win
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Oakland Athletics eventually prevailed.
Oakland starter Anthony Susac pitched well against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. With the victory, the Athletics record stands at 71-78.
Oakland used a clutch at-bat from Alejandro Marillo to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Athletics ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Marillo told the Oakland Herald.
