Baltimore Scrapes Out 4-1 Win
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins.
The Minnesota Twins could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Josh Wilson into a win. Instead, the Baltimore Orioles prevailed, 4-1. Wilson threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Josh Monroe earned his 37th save in 42 chances.
Gunnar Henderson, who is tied for 3rd in the AL in total bases with 358, had a direct impact on the outcome. Henderson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Baltimore up, 2-1.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Henderson.
The triumph puts Baltimore at 84-65 for the season.
