Astros Suffer One-Run Loss at Los Angeles
|
The Los Angeles Angels had to overcome a big game from Houston right fielder Kyle Tucker to leave Angel Stadium of Anaheim with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-7. Tucker was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Luis Amaya picked up the save for Los Angeles, his 4th of the year. The Angels sport a record of 56-89.
The Angels got a big hit from shortstop Javier Baez. Facing Houston pitcher Eury Perez in the bottom of the fifth, Baez pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 15th home run of the season put the Angels ahead, 8-5.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Angels manager Kyle Dhanani. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
