The 12-7 Milwaukee win over New York was due in large part to Elbert Craig. The Brewers designated hitter went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winner in relief was Lane Ramsey. He is now 5-4. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The last-place Mets have lost 4 straight games.

In the bottom of the eighth, Craig put his team in front with his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Evan Phillips, made it 9-7, Milwaukee.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Craig.
