The Blue Jays grabbed a win, 6-4, at Globe Life Field, overcoming a fine effort from Texas pitcher David Davila. Davila went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Julian Fernandez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. Toronto, at 93-49, is 14 games up in the American League East Division.

Toronto used the clutch hitting of Ronny Mauricio to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Toronto manager Luis Rivera.
