Texas Beats Minnesota, Goes to 92-49
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Field, topping the Minnesota Twins, 6-4. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Christian Little. He played a principal role in the triumph. Jesus Estrada got the save, his 8th in 14 chances. Texas improves to 92-49 with the win. They lead their division by 17½ games.
The Rangers got a big at-bat from right fielder Jasson Dominguez. For the game, Dominguez was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 33rd home run of the season gave Texas a 2-1 lead.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Dominguez.
