Cubs Deal Giants 7-4 Loss
|
The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Oracle Park, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 7-4, in 11 innings. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Bobby Miller. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Chicago is 68-72 and San Francisco, with the loss, 59-80.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pete Crow-Armstrong? The Chicago center fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Cubs on top, 6-4. For the game, Crow-Armstrong had 1 double and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"When Bobby is on, he can really move the ball around," said Chicago manager David Ross.
