Cubs Continue Skid, Thanks to Marte, Reds
The Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs, 18-9, at Great American Ball Park. Noelvi Marte, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Chicago's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Gavin Guidry, who led the NL in stolen bases with 47 last year, took Chicago hurler Tommy Henry deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Reds on top, 10-8. In all, Guidry had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Guidry told the Cincinnati Herald.
