5 Straight Wins for Angels

Tim Roberts, the 9th overall pick in the 2027 draft, was terrific for the Los Angeles Angels in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Minnesota Twins. His performance earned Roberts rave reviews. Roberts got the win, improving to 8-8. He gave up 1 hit and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. Los Angeles has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
Corbin Carroll had a big 2-run home run for the Angels in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Juan Cardoza, who is tied for 8th in the AL with a 9.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 16th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 4-0.
Carroll said his team "played with focus."
