|
The Seattle Mariners stopped the Minnesota Twins, 7-5, at T-Mobile Park. The Mariners got a big game from Michael Harris II, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The winning pitcher was Landon Victorian. He's now 6-12. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Mariners. With the win, the Mariners improved to 61-65.
Harris II contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Harris II took a fastball from Sandy Gaston and stroked the home run to left. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Mariners to leap in front, 4-2.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Harris II. "You've got to get results."
