Coots Now 8-5 After Beating Padres
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Danny Coots, who muffled the San Diego offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Dodgers win at Dodger Stadium. Frankie Scalzo earned the save for Los Angeles, his 35th of the year. The Padres, now 54-65, have lost 4 in a row.
Coots, now 8-5, scattered 1 hit over 7.2 innings for the Dodgers.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Dave O'Rourke. "That was the problem."
