Royals first baseman Matthew Ossenfort left his mark on his team's 8-7 win over the Texas Rangers. Ossenfort went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 for Kansas City in the contest. The third-place Royals now sit at 56-62.

In the top of the ninth, Ossenfort hit a tie-breaking solo home run to help the Royals capture the win.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Ossenfort, "and then get after it again."
