Guardians Take Down Rangers, 7-6
|
The fans at Progressive Field witnessed quite a game.
The Cleveland Guardians picked up a win at Progressive Field, downing the Texas Rangers, 7-6, in 11 innings. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Juan Ubilla, who played a pivotal role in the win. The last-place Guardians now sit at 51-66.
The Guardians got a clutch hit from shortstop Maikel Garcia. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Guardians.
"We had a chance to win," said Texas manager Marques Williams, "but we didn't get it done."
