Little Twirls 6-0 Shutout
|
Christian Little held the St. Louis Cardinals to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 6-0 shutout at Busch Stadium.
Speaking after the game, New York Mets manager Charles Gerardi said "Little had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful."
Little rung up 10 strikeouts and surrendered no walks in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," St. Louis manager Brandon Buchanan told reporters.
This year, Little has a 10-3 record with a 2.90 ERA in 23 starts.
