Dodgers Win at Cincinnati, 7-4
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 7-4, at Great American Ball Park. Los Angeles first baseman Joe Bowden had a superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Blake Yaag was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 8 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. The setback makes Cincinnati 64-48.
Los Angeles designated hitter Bryce Harper contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 120th hit of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 3-0.
"I felt good up there," said Harper. "I saw the ball well."
