|
The Chicago Cubs powered past the Miami Marlins, 8-5, at Wrigley Field. Francisco Lindor went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Jhosmer Alvarez notched his 1st save in 1 chances. The Cubs have now won 8 straight.
In the bottom of the eighth, Lindor put his team in front with his 10th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Alex Scherff, made it 8-5, Chicago.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Lindor told the Chicago Daily.
