Gomez Now 3-3 After Beating Mariners
Starting pitcher Ofreidy Gomez gave the Los Angeles Angels a rock-solid effort. The Pueblo Viejo, Dominican Republic native helped his team defeat the Seattle Mariners, 3-1, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The setback makes Seattle 54-56.

Gomez's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Gomez goes to 3-3 on the year with 42 strikeouts.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Gomez said.
