Chicago Drops Another One, 3-2
|
Frank Urbina pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Chicago White Sox, despite Urbina's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Alex Vesia notched his 6th save of the season. Chicago, at 59-43, has lost 7 straight.
Jayden Stroman, the 15th overall pick in the 2025 draft, aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 2-4 with a double.
After the game, Boston manager Ben Kamens applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
