Mariners Bridle Royals, 4-2
|
Seattle turned a good effort from starter Josh Fequiere into a win over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Randy Rodriguez earned the save, his 19th, for the Mariners. With the win over Kansas City, the Mariners improved to 48-52.
Kahlil Watson, who finished 4th in the NL in triples with 7 in 2026, had a direct impact on the outcome. Watson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Fequiere told the Seattle News.
