Yankees Down Orioles, 10-4
|
The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 10-4. Center Fielder Aaron Judge deserved a large share of the credit. Judge was 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Yankees. New York, at 39-54, holds down 4th place in the American League East Division.
Andrew Benintendi went 1 for 4 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for New York. The 35-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Danny Lacy. It was his 36th walk of the season.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Benintendi.
