Pamphile Lifts White Sox to 11-4 Win
|
Behind the hitting of Stephon Pamphile, the Chicago White Sox stopped the Milwaukee Brewers, 11-4. Pamphile went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the White Sox. Chicago reliever Frank Urbina picked up the win, while Shaw Beaudin took the loss for Milwaukee. Chicago, at 45-43, sits in second place in the American League Central Division.
Chicago needed the clutch hitting of Luis del Risco to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the White Sox on top, 7-4. For the game, del Risco had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Pamphile, "one at-bat at a time."
