Royals Lose to Pirates in Walk-Off
Both teams had their chances, but the Pittsburgh Pirates eventually prevailed.

Kansas City first baseman Tyler Soderstrom was sensational. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Pittsburgh beat the Royals, 9-8. The win went to Oliver Mateo in relief, making him now 4-5. Jamir Leal took the loss for Kansas City.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Pittsburgh. That's when 29-year old catcher Henry Davis hit a bases-clearing double off Jamir Leal to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"What a buzz," said Davis after it was over.

The second-place Pirates have won 4 consecutive games.
