Blue Jays Absorb 5-2 Home Loss
|
The Toronto Blue Jays went down to defeat to Josue Panacual and his Miami teammates. The final score was 5-2, in favor of the Marlins. Panacual got the win, improving to 3-7. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. Osiris German collected his 4th save.
The Marlins got a big hit from left fielder Joshua Mears. Facing Toronto pitcher Noah Murdock in the top of the fifth, Mears pounded a 2-run home run to left. His 1st home run of the season put the Marlins ahead, 3-0.
Miami manager Brian Berkshire commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
Miami now owns a record of 34-39.
