The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Target Field, topping the Cincinnati Reds, 4-3. On the mound for Minnesota was right-hander Juan Cardoza. He played a principal role in the triumph. The win belonged to Luis Navarro in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Victor Gonzalez took the loss for Cincinnati. The Twins move to 41-31 with the win, while the Reds drop to 32-40.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Minnesota trailing 3-2, Gavin Sheets hit a slider from Victor Gonzalez to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Twins had a walk-off win.

In postgame comments to the Minnesota Today, Cardoza said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
