Giants Absorb 6-3 Home Loss
|
The San Francisco Giants got a sterling performance from pitcher Farakiko Anuenue, but the Los Angeles Dodgers still prevailed, 6-3. Anuenue threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Blake Yaag, who is tied for 7th in the NL in wins with 7, was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Los Angeles now sports a record of 39-32.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ethan Porter? The Los Angeles third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 4-2. For the game, Porter had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Porter.
