Rangers Beat Giants, 5-2
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Field, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-2. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Skylar Truitt. He played a key role in the triumph. Emiliano Teodo, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. The losing streak for San Francisco has now reached 4 games.
Had Sam Hall not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hall hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rangers.
"Skylar's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Will Venable, the Rangers manager.
