Arevalo Powers Astros Offense
|
The Houston Astros reigned over the Atlanta Braves in damp conditions.
The Houston Astros polished off the Atlanta Braves by the score of 9-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to second baseman Angel Arevalo. Arevalo went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Astros. Houston, at 32-36, holds down third place in the American League West Division.
Arevalo contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Houston in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Arevalo took a sinker from David Peterson and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Astros to leap in front, 4-1.
"Feels good to get the job done," Arevalo said after the game.
