Mariners Win, 6-4, in 11
|
The Seattle Mariners knocked off the Washington Nationals, 6-4, at Nationals Park. Connor Shouse was a big reason Seattle won. The second baseman went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Oliver Mateo, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities. The victory gives Seattle a record of 36-30.
Had Shouse not come through in the top of the 11th, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Shouse hit a 2-run single. The Mariners took the lead, 6-4, and never looked back.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Shouse.
