Brewers Win, 4-2, at Pittsburgh
|
Milwaukee turned a good effort from starter Tony Reimer into a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. The Brewers won the game, 4-2. The winning pitcher was Reimer, now 4-11. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Jackson Cox earned his 23rd save in 31 chances.
Milwaukee took a 3-0 lead on Dillon Dingler's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Dingler hit in the top of the eighth, left Pittsburgh pitcher Karl Kauffmann visibly frustrated.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Milwaukee manager Al Hyman.
The Brewers raised their record to 58-104.
