Guardians Earn Late Win
Minnesota right fielder Braden Montgomery had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Cleveland at Target Field. Montgomery hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win went to Drew Christo in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Shawn Guilliams took the loss. Trevor Brigden notched his 42nd save of the season.

Cleveland needed the clutch hitting of Caden Grice to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Guardians on top, 6-4. For the game, Grice had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Grice told a Cleveland Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

With the win over Minnesota, the Guardians improved to 74-84.
